It'll offer video and TV on demand, and act as an internet gateway for internet appliances. Profiling is mentioned. The story makes an interesting point about how the XBox's true purpose is to pave the way for Microsoft as a home entertainment brand."
Side-note: Looking at the latest trolls that have been posted here, suggesting that there have been filters implemented on /. , I personally do get the idea that there's more going on behind the scenes than just some technical problems.
If so, I don't think it would be a very good idea to publicise this, forseeing what kind of reactions that would cause.
But again, this is pure speculation from my side.
