3G Spectrum - Off Limits After Attacks
Casey writes: "MSNBC is reporting that due to the recent attacks, potential 3G spectrum currently held by the military has been placed off-limits for the foreseeable future -- with no replacement on the table. The FCC says that it might remove the current "spectrum cap" restrictions, allowing bigger cellular companies to gobble up smaller ones just for their spectrum. Expect to see a lot of consolidation if this goes through."
What is the story behind this? Is there even a story behind it?
And what in the hell does FUD stand for?

the klintonista fcc under chief asswipe reed hundt (imagine, coincidentally he was algore's college roomie) decided that the 4 years remaining on my smr license would be null and void, i could either sell the channels to nextel for thousands of dollars or buy my own channels at an fcc auction for millions of dollars. nextel now owns all the 860-865mhz spectrum. and guess who joined nextel's board when his term expired at the fcc?
