TiVo Infringes On Pause Patent
Blackwulf writes: "It seems that there's a company named Pause Technologies which patented in 1992 the ability to pause live TV, play a portion of it, and then skip ahead to live TV. They are now suing TiVo for infringing on their patent. Motorola has already paid licensing fees for their upcoming PVR, and Pause Technologies is speaking with other PVR makers offering licenses to them as well. Yahoo has the story here." Pausing. Obviously, a new idea, and one worthy of patenting. I think I'm going to patent the play button.

that I could pause the time so I can have planty of time to finish the first post.
Pause... Now!
Come on Hemos, this isn't a patent on pausing.
Hemos wants to stimulate conversation by getting our panties in a twist! He wants us to think, "Yea, that isn't fair.. I'm going to speak my mind." While contributing to the discussion, we are exposed to some more banner ads, therefore helping out with Hemos's payment for his new Audi Quattro Offroad.
I was 7 years old at the time. I was fast asleep when I was awakened by my bedroom light coming on, I could see the orange glow if the light through my eyelids. I was laying on my back, so I turned to my sisters bed to see if it was her, but as I did I saw it. It was what appeared to be a woman, wearing nothing, and her body was rotted. She was standing on a pile of laundry that my mom had left on the floor to wash the next day. It appeared to be stomping on the clothes. I just looked.....my mind a complete blank. Suddenly it looked up at me, and I saw that it had no eyes, or teeth, just dark holes where the mouth and the eyes should be. Its hair was matted up and standing on end, the skin was horrible and putrid looking...then it started to motion to me to "come here" with it's rotten arm and hand. I believe that I was beginning to lose it...when I heard clearly, a voice say, "Roll over and pretend you are asleep!". I did that very thing...I rolled over and laid there with my heart pounding in my throat and my hair on my neck standing on end. Somehow I managed to fall asleep. I never told anyone about it until I was 30 years old and talking to the sister with whom I shared the room. She said "Oh yes, don't you remember how our bedroom light used to come on all the time?" I told her no. I just always wonder what would have happened if I had walked towards it when it motioned me over to it. And what if that voice I heard tell me to roll over and pretend I am asleep, Had not helped me out, and who's voice was it anyway? I will never forget what it looked like. I drew a picture of it, and it still scares me just to think of it. It turned out that my siblings and parents also saw and heard things in the house.
You moderate an article, and then post in another article. The second time you post in the other article. It wipes you what you moderated. I think that's a bug
That and the goddamn fucking stupid pieceashit 20 second minimum to submit a goddamn fucking comment
Japan has had a WORKING fusion reactor for over twenty years. The fact that it takes more energy to start than it gives out is irrelevent to its existence.
And save any quips about engines or "producing" energy. Matter to energy conversion, or the reverse, doesn't produce anything.
How about leaving the stupid remarks out of the story?
