The Tick Premieres Tonight on FOX

abde writes "The Tick finally premieres this Thursday on FOX at 7:30 PM CST. Looks like Patrick Warburton finally gets to spread some creamy Justice on our toast!" Here's hoping that this show comes close to it's source materials. It's in a tough time slot, so I really hope it sticks around long enough to find a footing. Good luck to you Ben (I know you're reading!) In other TV news, Salon reviewed The buffy musical which aired on tuesday. Since my local basic cable doesn't provide UPN, I haven't seen it. I've been loving FX syndicating what is easily among my favorite shows: hot chicks, sharp humor, and monster killing. It may be the perfect show. I just wish TV was available via FTP.

Taco you post a story about Morpheus and then bitch about not being able to get the Buffy Musical. Let's think about that huh?

I downloaded the entire episode less than an hour after it had aired.

Not to mention that all of the songs have been mp3ed are on Morpheus too.

    Happy hunting

My tivo helpfully recorded a random movie which was on cable the other week. Later I watched it when a bunch of friends were over. It happened to be a movie which I also have on my harddrive, divx style.

If I had played it from my computer on my tv my friends might not have even noticed (same pause functionality, both widescreen, etc).

However, one is 100% legal, and one is 100% illegal.

Question for you guys and gals..

Anyone know of a video card that has tivo like capabilities?

Ive been looking at the all in wonder cards from ati, all they mention the cards can do is timeshift up to 30min, mainly to skip commercials and stuff. I want to find something where I can record a tv signal and save it as a movie file of some sort... any ideas?

And to make my comment somewhat on topic, tick looks pretty good.

I know I will probably be moderated down by being off-topic, but why didn't (or don't, as it is still time :) slashdot post anything about 24?
Not only it's been spected to be the greatest serie of this season, but they also had the guts to show a 747 being exploded for terrorism reasons (I'm surprised I din't see any criticism about that yet).
Don't take me wrong: I don't have anything about posting a story about The Tick (much the opposite, I'm expecting it to be a great show too), I just think 24 deserved a review/post too.

PS: BTW, 24 will be aired again tomorrow night

But I can destroy your 'proof' with one of many simple tasks:

    - find someone who isn't a social reject or geek who watches buffy
    - find a geek or social reject who gets laid
    - place my fist repeatedly through your face, reach down your throat until I hit your colon, grab a handful of your foul colon-shit, pull my fist out and smear it over your eyes and up your nose, implanting it far enough into your sinuses that you either smell shit for the rest of your life, or suffocate on your own shit.

Pick one, because all three tasks are manageable (and fun!) for me ;)
