    ...a scant 6 or 7 years ago, kids like these would have been coding multi-megabyte 3D demo programs with tracker music soundtracks.

    But of course now tracker music is obsolete and dead, and 3D is accelerated and the APIs are easy enough that any reasonably-experienced Visual Basic coder can write routines that blow away old hand-optimized assembler code.

    I guess we can thank technological progress for giving this bunch nothing more challenging to do than break into computers, then.
