    If RMS is still following the GNOME project even after losing the election... campaign promises and all that...

    If he had won, this might be one of the last GNOMEs with reasonable licensing...

    Er, AA works fine in Gnome right now. Why are you waiting until 2.0? Do a little research on the subject before you start asking pointless questions.

    GNOME 2.0 is even less ready for the desktop than previous versions. This version doesn't even run key applications, like AbiWord and StarOffice, properly. How can Joe Sixpack use a computer if the word processor doesn't work? This is why WinXP is flying off store shelves, while Linux is confined to the bargain bin, and the server rooms of corporations too crap to afford the industry-leading Windows XP server(tm).

    I'd use GNOME if it didn't look so bad. It looks like rubbish, although at least it isn't as bad as Windows XP. I personally think KDE is a much better environment.

    I suppose that you're pretty cool for bragging that you steal software. You're doing a good service to the IT community, which I'll assume that you feel like you have some part in, since you're floating around slashdot. And drudging up another thread about Linux vs. Windows, I suppose that's as good a way to fill your lonely Friday: fan the everpresent geek flames and revel in the fruits of your labor. I think you should post anonymously from now on.
