Cassini Probe Has Camera Problems

xX_sticky_Xx writes "The BBC is reporting that the last billion dollar NASA probe, Cassini, (enroute to Saturn) is suffering from an unknown source of contamination on its narrow field camera. NASA has attempted to alleviate the contamination, which is causing a haze to appear around images, by "defrosting" it, with so far limited success. Another attempt will be made in January. If this problem can't be resolved this will be extremely disappointing. Cassini is set to expand our knowledge of Saturn more than Galileo did for Jupiter."

      That wasn't really an AC, it was me, The_Messenger. FWIW, you weren't the first to post the Yahoo! link, and there are other websites that offer similar trolling facilities. You were one of the first, WIPO, but your problem is that you post at -1. If you actually want people to see your work, post AC. :-) Posting at -1 may mean that you can't be modded down, but it also means that no one will see your post except fellow trolls browsing at -1. That's fine if you're posting an amusing story or ASCII art, but if you want to annoy Slashdotters, you have to post where they can see you. Try reposting your old Yahoo!-link trolls AC and watch the flames pour in!

      I'm sorry if you feel slighted, WIPO. Tell you what: I'll transfer the negative pseudo-karma into your virtual trolling account, okay? (God knows that I've enough. I recently resurrected one of my old aliases and have been sucking up negative moderation for the past week...)
