I Wanna Watch Cartoons!
aztektum writes "Since Saturday's tend to be slow days and it is Saturday morning I thought I'd send along Cartoon Network news. Ain't It Cool has a breakdown of Cartoon Networks 2002 itinerary." Several of the
shows have been mentioned here before (Pilot Candidate and Gundam 0083 are
both enjoyable so far. As is YuYu). Mentions the arrival of new DBZ in september.
Also lots of non anime bits including Justice League (Many new episodes!).
Also new Harvey Birdman, Brak, and Sealab 2021 although Space Ghost seems absent from the roster.
Anyway, there are a lot of other shows mentioned too, but those are the shows
that I have commanded tivo to snag ;)
They may not ditch Scooby considering the movie coming up. I'm sure alot of parents plan to bring the wee ones to that. I don't know how good the movie will be but it could keep old school Scooby on the air. http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/scooby_doo.html
Anyone else miss the classic cartoons that just aren't on tv very much anymore. I personally thought Garfield was the coolest show along with the Loony Toons and all those. Now all the cartoons are crazy half anime techno thrillers. Just doesn't appeal to me like Willey Coyote and RoadRunner.
I've tried watching the cartoon network a number of times but I have never ever found anything even remotely entertaining. Just a bunch of crap like "Dragon Ball Z" or other "anime" geared toward four year old children. Scooby-Doo, a bunch of stupid "let's say stupid things and scream a whole bunch and we'll have a show!" stuff like Cat and Dog or whatever that is. Cow and Chicken. Maybe that's it. Or CHicken and Cat.. I dunno.
Anyway, I've yet to find anything worth watching on this station and don't plan to ever watch it. I think the last time I turned to that channel was about 9 months ago when I watched 5 minutes of some really stupid cartoon.
To find good cartoons, you have to watch the Action Movie channel late at night when they run good anime movies a few times per week.
