Linux Media Arts Advances Video in Linux

GigsVT writes "Linux Media Arts has introduced a line of video capture and hardware MPEG encoding cards with full Linux support. The sd601 is a full featured hardware video solution including hardware dissolve, key, wipe, and split screen. At pricetags around $3000 US, they aren't cheap, but this could break Linux into the video editing market. This isn't vaporware, they are selling these right now."

They may produce high-quality video editing cards, but their web-design definitely sucks. Try to mark their website with your mouse and you will see that in some blank lines they have just added a few characters in the color of the background. I guess this was just lazy programming...

Not linux or video...

I think XP is as ugly as you can get for an OS desktop.
I can't stand the new style since its just the old windows 95 desktop with colors that only a mexican could appreciate. Bill, why did you not slap a "made in mexico" decal on XP?

I have to use the classic windows "style" since XP would be unusable otherwise. I definitely will get an apple in the future, cause Windows blows ass when it comes to user experience.

Give money to Apple.

The parent post is clearly a troll, but the Video Toaster was indeed a great system for the time. The first Babylon 5 season was entirely produced with it.
