WineX 2.0
ZaMoose writes "Looks like Transgaming has released version 2.0 of WineX (with full support for Jedi Knight II and initial 3D sound support. Joy!) Prepackaged .debs and .rpms are available only to subscribers, but you can always just download and compile it yourself (you just won't get the nifty SafeDisk workarounds/InstallShield proprietary stuff)."
RMS is dead folks, from first post.
So, how long until this outfit goes under?
Alright. So it isn't...
Not yet anyways...
5...4...3...2...1
alright now it is.
linux users are cheap bastards that want everything for free, anything else is "Microsoft". This product wont last long, gaming in Linux dying because of freebie loaders. Oh well, just sit down and enjoy the ride while it last and whine later when it dies.
wanna run windows programs? run a windows OS.
all these linux losers "i hate MS", next day, "oh cool i can run MS Word in wine now". The only thing worth emulating is console systems on a PC. THen you can at least chat and play legend of zelda on that cool nes emulator.
but still, its so stupid to run linux then run windows programs. at least install vmware or something geez.

Slayer owns slashdot.
CREAM!
Wah! Me too! Wah!
Whats the purpose of dedicating even MORE space on my HD to yet another operating system, when dual-booting back into Windows for a while only costs about 45 seconds of my time?
I dont mean to take a squat on the WineX guys, but... Couldnt this energy be put to better use elsewhere?
Cheers,

What sort of things does FreeBSD offer that aren't available in Linux? I've been thinking about giving it a try (thereby doubling its userbase) but was curious about its strengths.
HAHAHA you foolish mortals!
This is the reason DEBIAN owns your bases!
DEBIAN uses apt-get!
apt-get AUTOMATICALLY FUFILLS dependancies!
This means that there is NO hell!
HAHAHAHAHA!
Feel the power of the TRULY FREE DISTRO!
