If the software is anything like MS software we're likely to see scenes like these:- Bob goes to the mall to meet his girlfriend for a movie. He arrives early, looks around for her, checks his watch, and scans the crowd again. The software assumes that either he's waiting for a bomb to explode or he's trying to determine whether his crack dealer got busted on the way to the mall. A police officer is dispatched to the scene and in the interest of time, the officer is only told that he may be dealing with a drug transaction or a deadly terrorist. Bob's girlfriend arrives and the two embrace. The police officer arrives, draws his gun and orders Bob to kiss the floor with his hands over his head.
- Tom goes to the mall to check out one of those weirdo desk lamp Macs, but doesn't really expect to buy one. He admires the model in the window for a minute before entering the store and playing with the floor model. He tells the sales person he's just looking and proceeds to check out the rest of the store. He's amazed to see that there's actually software for the Mac, but is put off by the high hardware prices, so he walks out. A security program decides he must be a shoplifter because he spent so much time there, didn't seem interested in talking to the sales person and left without buying anything. The program dispatches an officer to pick up the possible shoplifter, and Tom is forced to submit to an unlawful search because the program knows that only guilty people would refuse.

Limp performances by stud actors in the Japanese porno world should soon be a thing of the past, if Asahi Geino (4/25) is anything to go by.
Bucky Visual Planning, one of Japan's top stick flick makers, is planning to restore the spunk lacking recently among male actors in the adult video world by setting up a school for budding male porn stars.
"In recent years, the industry has lacked charismatic male performers," Takao Ono, head of Gachinko! AV Hayu Juku (Ramrod! Adult Video Actor Cram School) due to open next month, tells Asahi Geino. "We set up the school because we don't just want guys who simply spurt onto the scene, we're looking to mold people who'll inspire dreams among fans."
Ono adds that the life of a male porn star can be a mind-blowing experience.
"A male actor needs only a healthy body. Academic background or qualifications mean diddly squat when it comes to making a buck in this field," he says. "Plenty of male porn stars reap over 10 million yen a year. And the big shots can make several dozen million."
Calling the shots for the school will be some of Japan's most prominent adult video actors, including actor-cum-professional wrestler Chokoball Mukai, Kaoru Kato and Kazuya Sawagi, who looks forward to imparting his knowledge to the next generation.
"We'll each give blow-by-blow lessons on what we're best at. For instance, I'm great once the action has started...better than anyone. So that's what I'll teach. Kaoru's got dexterous fingers and knows how to use his hips, so he'll teach that. And Chokoball knows all about positions and making women feel at ease, so we'll leave that up to him."
Classes will be held once a week for at least two months at a cost of only a trifling 60,000 yen. And the instructors say the classes will be like nothing else students have ever come across.
"Naturally, we'll have practical courses. The fastest way for students to learn is to get down and actually work with an actress," Chokoball Mukai tells Asahi Geino. "If you train yourself, you can teach yourself to ejaculate as many times a day as you'd like."
Part of the rounded education offered by the school also involves instruction in media handling and psychology.
"You can't become a top porn actor merely by being able to have a lot of sex. You have to know how to sell yourself to the media and develop a type of character," school boss Ono says. "Most guys that want to become stick flick performers are the types that aren't that popular with women in the first place, so we'll also offer psychology classes to teach them how to behave in a manner that women find attractive."
Plans are also afoot to ensure graduates become deeply rooted in the industry.
"We'd like to offer some sort of license respected throughout the adult video world," Ono says. "That should avoid problems we have now regarding actors being paid by the job. It should also create a clearly visible ranking system. Eventually, we'd like to see the creation of some sort of union that could take care of any anxieties actors have about falling ill or being injured."
Despite scant publicity, interest in the school already borders on the enormous.
"We've had guys give up their careers to join in our classes," Ono says. "One guy, in his mid 40s with two kids and another on the way, was laid off his last job and now wants to join us just to get laid."
Actresses are also gushing at the prospect of new meat in the market.
"A decent porn actor is a wonderful man appealing for both his body and his mind," veteran porn starlet Mariko Kawana tells Asahi Geino. "It's wonderful for me if more attractive men are out there in the world. I'm certainly praying that the school's students will come up to scratch."

If I understand correctly, Tom Cruise was working hard to sever his ties with the CoS. Shortly after i'd heard this, his marriage with Kidman got really rocky. Sure the first could be rumor and the second a coincidence, but it's more fun to think they're connected, yes?
