Nanotechnology Harnesses the Power of Light
madirish2600 writes "There's a Washington Post story running about some German scientists who have used light to create a nanotechnology spring. 'Scientists have for the first time used the power of light to create mechanical energy for a microdevice, making a single molecule of plastic drive a tiny machine.'"
w00t!
This is the first non-fluff story I think I've seen today.
You see? You see? Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid!
fy faen, frossent piss.
try biting your ear while claping your hands... good, now you look like a moron
Can I use it to drive this tiny machine?
Can someone explain to me why someone would use use two backwards apostraphes at the beginning, and two double-quotes at the end of a quotation ``like this""?
Great, now lets just hope what ever os they use is secure, I wouldn't want little nano robots being controled by some 12 year old script kitty. Or maybe these could be implanted into digital media to disable your computer if you pirated any software?
Sigs are out of style, so I'm not going to use one...oh wait..
As noted on the Smithsonian Institution's site, the first official American flag had thirteen stars and thirteen stripes, each representing one of the thirteen original states.
The flag icon for Slashdot's 'United States' section is missing its first stripe - the stripe that represents Delaware, the first state admitted to the Union. While a simple oversight could be forgiven, it should be known from here on out that Slashdot is in fact aware of the missing stripe, and even worse, refuses to do anything about it!
This vulgar flag desecration and rabid anti-Delawarism must be put to a stop. Let the Slashdot crew know that we will not accept a knowingly mutilated flag or the insinuation that Delawarians deserve to be cut out of the union. I ask you, what has Delaware done to deserve this insolence, this wanton disregard, this bigotry?
This intentional disregard of a vital national symbol is unpatriotic. Why, the flippant remarks CmdrTaco made about our flag border on terrorism! I urge you to join the protest in each 'United States' story. Sacrifice your karma for your country by pointing out this injustice. Let's all work together to get our flag back. Can you give your country any less?
I just cut the vein on my cock! Theres blood everywhere!
A Beowulf cluster of these things?
Hi -
We are currently running a test at classmates.com to see how much of their audience is interested in searching for a job, which will help determine if Classmates should have their own careers section. You can view our link on the upper right hand side of the page by clicking on this link - http://www.classmates.com/decades/index.tf and looking under the "our favorites" section for the "Find your next JOB!" link.
Here's what I need: Send this to a friend and ask them to check us out by clicking on the link entitled "Find your next JOB!" under the classmates "Our Favorites" area. By clicking on this, it brings you to grassisgreener.com. If the link is successful, they (Classmates) will consider a deeper partnership. THIS LINK IS ONLY UP FOR ANOTHER 24-48 HOURS depending on the test, so I NEED YOUR HELP ASAP.
Note: Please click on this from home, as significant traffic coming from our own site will not prove out the test. It needs to be from outside of the building (AOL or another ISP). As well, your friends can help us spread the word.
Thanks in advance and keep your fingers crossed!
That's pretty funny. I'd kinda forgotten Delaware existed, and I guess CmdrTaco did too.
Oh fuck, I think I'm going to faint...
Got a good recipe for chicken cordon bleu?
Are you still losing blood?
Thanks recipe troll.
That recipe sounds yummy, I'd like to try it.
But, my guests would be put off by the blodd all over the place right now, so I'll have to try this some other time.
I'm not feeling too good right now, I think I'll sit down for a moment.
