This comes as no surprise to me. I have worked with a lot of Chinese college students and without fail, they are the most clueless weenies I have ever seen. What makes it worse is the *innate distrust* of anything a Westerner tells them, so if I tell one "Hey, you need to update Norton Antivirus and turn off access to a few of these ports", I get in reply a smile and a nod of the head, and then they go back to playing Yahoo games. So the inevitable happens: virus infection. You talk to them about prophylactic procedures to avoid worms and viruses, and what do you get: smile, nod, ignore. IMHO, let the whole damn country's IT infrastructure melt down into component silicon.
