EU Considering Another MS Antitrust Suit

mesozoic writes "Yahoo! News is reporting that the European Union is considering *another* antitrust suit against Microsoft, this time having to do with anticompetitive behavior in the market for mobile phone software. While I haven't seen any signs Microsoft is going to dominate the industry here in the States, cell phones are a much bigger deal in Europe, so I can understand why they'd be nervous."

I personally think that MS should drop Europe. Not sell to 'em at all. Just for a little while. It won't take long. After Europeans are forced to spend a bit of time at the Bash prompt, they'll happily shut the hell up. And of course, MS should very aggressively persue piracy there, since it'd spike after they couldn't get MS products legally.

Sounds like the Nokia protection act. Sad, but we know how anti-US Europe is and Nokia is the only consumer level tech company to make any sort of dent in the US market.

Of course Nokia has been asleep at the wheel with their phone offerings in the US. I mean really, who is going to carry that brick of phone known as the 9000i. Geeesh.
