    A game with the same name might have been released, that doesn't mean it's the same game. The next-gen versions of FIFA and NBA2k for instance are completely different engines on nextgen.

    I suspect you just proved GP's point by mistake.

    The old, original vi is quite stagant, the most recent release is from 2005. On the other hand, "the new hotness" like Vim is seeing regular releases.

    Lateral G's are never going to make you black out. Have to drain the blood from the brain (positive vertical G) to do that. F1 drivers these days are routinely hitting 7g laterally.

    Is it? Is there any *real* evidence that pure nicotine, in these sort of doses, is actually harmful for you, when not associated with tars, benzene, and all the other nasties in cig smoke? Or is it more like caffeine, where it might exactly be "healthy", but the real risk at typical usage levels is miniscule.

    What's copyrighted is the idea, not the physical manifestation or "input". If you take a downloaded copy of HotSummerBlockbuster 3.0 and burn it to a DVD, that DVD is still covered by copyright. Similarly, you couldn't download a copyrighted song, have vinyl plates cut from it, press records, and sell those. It is the creative work itself that is covered by copyright.

    Seriously? Look at how bloated the average "modern" base install is. Look how many background daemons there are. Efficiency went out the window along time ago. The linux of Slackware, or even Gentoo, has largely ceased to be. It has become what it once reviled.

    My diesel VW Golf as 140HP, 240ft-lbs of torque, and gets 45MPG on the highway.

    Yea sounds about right.

    Standard course at Bonneville for high speed runs is something like 6 miles to accelerate, 1 mile for the timed portion (the speed quoted for the record is the AVERAGE speed over this mile), and then several miles to stop.
