Gamecube Finally Plays GBA Games
ytzombe writes "Gamespot News is reporting that for about 5000 yen an attachment will be available to play GBA games on the Gamecube. The serial port underneath the system will be the gateway to the device and will include a port to enable multiplayer games. This will finally allow me to play the Castlevania games without fusing my naked retina to the screen."
This has gotten modded down, but he makes a good point. Nintendo is not growing with the gaming industry, and I don't think that bodes well for their future. Market share is the name of the console game, and Nintendo needs to rethink their business model if they want to have the resources to stay competitive. Nintendo's decision to aim the new Zelda game at young children cost them at least one Gamecube sale: mine. And I don't think I'm the only one.
Yeah, that great marketing must explain why the GameCube is trailing the PS One in US sales this year. And to think they used to be number 1 over here...
