Gamecube Finally Plays GBA Games
ytzombe writes "Gamespot News is reporting that for about 5000 yen an attachment will be available to play GBA games on the Gamecube. The serial port underneath the system will be the gateway to the device and will include a port to enable multiplayer games. This will finally allow me to play the Castlevania games without fusing my naked retina to the screen."
and in other news, no one above the age of 13 cares.
So if I use a flash memory cartridge to play backup GBA games, is it possible I could be banned from connecting to my GameCube?
Yeah, that great marketing must explain why the GameCube is trailing the PS One in US sales this year. And to think they used to be number 1 over here...
how do you rationalize it playing like crap then? there is no speed or freedom of movement whatsoever. this game is riddled with so many design flaws -- it's unbelievable. it would make a B+ quake clone on the PC, but combined with the completely inadequate precision x/y controls on the gamecube, combat just makes for a button mashing contest.
complete shite.
no, actually. the controls are the worst kind of shit i'd expect from a first person shooter, except with autotargeting. you still have to hold down a button to look around, which also completely prevents you from walking at the same time. the targeting otherwise is the same as most other console fpses, where you have to balance the stick to keep looking at one spot, as letting go will snap your view back to where it started. samus' new jump is completely flaccid, let alone trying to spin with it. ha.
this is a 3rd rate quake clone.
