Ogg/Vorbis on Palm OS

...as a test, I converted a bunch of my MP3's (typically 128kbit/s) to ogg. It sounded fine.
The only people who complain about the sound from converting like this are uptight audiophiles, typically the same wankers who complain that CD sound isn't as "full bodied" as the sound from vinyl.

Ogg will never gain the usage that mp3 has seen, simply because it is too much like mp3. The common user doesn't care that the music sounds marginally better. Ogg would overtake mp3 if things stayed as they are now, but with hard drives getting bigger, connections getting faster, and all that, then I think there will be a shift to a less lossy compression scheme. I dunno if something like shn will ever fill that space, since its still a huge file, but, who knows.
