It seems that the main premise of the GPL is freedom. Being that the main premise is freedom, i believe the GPL should have as few restrictive non-freedom like provisions as possible. is this RESTRICTIVE NON-FREEDOM like provision one thats TRULY necessary in order to perpetuate the mission of the GPL? I'm not so sure it is because even if the hardware vendor's EULA prevents users from running different versions of certain software it doesn't mean people won't do it. I'm leaning toward this clause being axed... just my two grosch
this can be useful from the perspective of stopping tv piracy. if the satellite companies can beam only what you pay for to your home it would certainly stop you from watching free porn. just my 2 cents.
p.s. i know this doesnt do anything for analog cable.
Aren't these guys trying to shave of every microgram from their gear and bikes? Wouldn't the added weight for these 10 riders be a competitive disadvantage? Why would this consent to this? I know lance would never do it.
ive installed sp2 rc1 on threee machines and rc2 on one machine. thus far i have had no problems with any of these installations. it appears that this statistic, 3 of 5 that is, is either bullcrap or an anomoly in the space time continuum.
Not necessarily incompatible maybe just excelling at cognition and at the same time forsaking other intelligences, such as social intelligence. Maybe its just a redistribution of energy. Also, the most popular person(otherwise known as the leader) can be seen as an intelligent person because he is socially intelligent, he can engage people in such a way that makes him desirable.
I couldn't finish reading this article for one simple reason, and that is the authors failure to recognize multiple types of intelligence. Look here: http://www.ericfacility.net/ericdigests/ed410226.h tml This talks about Gardner's definitions of intelligence or at least the discerning of different types. Some popular kids are very smart. I remember as i'm only three years out of high school. It is possible to have a high mathematical iq and a high emotional iq.
Guys,
I really feel that discussing possible layouts for future keyboards is a waste of time. We need a better human computer interface. I don't claim to have the answer but to me the problem seems to be keyboards all together. I think we need a direct cybergenic neuro synaptic nervous system capable interface device. I kid you not. I also want it bluetooth enabled so that i wouldnt need any unsightly jacks on my head, just a 1 time implant.
www.shoutcast.com a project of Nullsoft lists many many internet radio stations you can listen to using either Winamp, Itunes, or XMMS. Basically anything that supports streaming mp3s. I have used this system to write down the names of many great artists, and for Winamp there is even a plugin to capture the stream if you like it. Although, that is probably illegal.
You guys obviously know very little about the handheld market and the tremdouns gains that microsoft has made with the pocket pc. Are you blind? The pocketpc is a runaway success they had finally gotten it right. And the smartphones in many ways are an extension of the pocketpc and is a very similar technology. The smartphone is targeted at the consumer who likes to be able to look at data on their pda but not necessarily enter it, likes to play games, and likes to listen to music, and maybe even watch some short clips. The smartphone is going to blow symbian away, simply because its got the same gui that gives warm fuzzy feelings to millions of people that windows has. Heros die first. ANd it appears to me that such will be the undisputed fate of sendo if they go with symbian.
Apparently sendo doesn't want to make money. Don't get me wrong symbian is great, but at this point in time it seams to me that people would much rather buy an MS enabled phone than a Symbian one. Also, I wonder what kind of delay it will add to their device, which already has been postponed numerous times. It seems to me like its never going to make it to market.
The article mentions a monorail train in wuppertal, germany. What they don't mention is the fact that a short while ago, i belive within two years, there was a pretty bad accident where the monorail was derailed and fell into a canal. People died. I have family in wuppertal and have been there three times. The monorail is for commuters and works just like other public transportation, you buy a ticket and board. Although, its a more fun ride.
DVDs will never dent the box office, not on the count of the New York populace anyways. Americans are not a frugal people, but in fact are a people of excess who want the latest and greatest. They also have alot of time to kill on the weekends. Going to watch a new blockbuster flick is still the thing to do, and will be for a while. Six months!!!???? That may as well be an eternity for someone my age. I'm 20, btw.
Fucking money grubbing gluttons these people. But that is the nature of our fine democracy isn't it. Can't get out the image of our president given a speech on patents a few days ago out of my head. This case truly highlights the weakneses in out patent system. Unless, of coarse, the claims these PanIP people lay prove fruitless, as I suspect they will. And if they don't I'm moving to canada.

invincibility may not work on suicide bombers, and that is perhaps one of the concerns that the military may have.

But knowing how honest bureaucracies are I would still be suspicious. Btw, I'm being watched ;)
Stop Playa Hating. If it was so easy you should've done it and you would have gotten the creds.

Great. Another PocketPC. There are too few in this world. We surely need another one. What a worthless news item, and not even news at that.
