I just heard the sad news on trollweb, Democracy was found dead in the Lincoln bedroom earlier this afternoon. Vice President Cheney was unavailable for comment, since he is out at his house on the grounds of the national observatory, supervising construction of a new giant underground bunker to be used to move our reptilian overlords closer to Washinghton DC from their caverns under Dulce, NM.
You may not have been a fan of jury duty or voting, but still, there is no denying Democracy's impact upon world culture. It will be missed.

Ok, for the last 7 or so months my left eye has become blurry for no apparent reason. No head injury or illness or anything of the sort. Basically, I just woke up and everything was fuzzy in one eye...the same level of fuzzyness for all distances. I went to an optometrist and he said he didn't know what was wrong, and referred me to another optomotrist I never went to. So, I ask the /. community....

What the hell is wrong with me?

    Brain tumor

Chip placed by aliens interfering with brain waves

Eye gnomes came during the night and hit me atop the head

So, I guess what they say about masturbating too much is true!

    Just plain nuts
I would greatly appreciate any feedback from the /. community as my life rests in the balance from your comments.

I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.
