Sun Opens First Linux Competency Center
McGarnacle writes "Looks like our friends at Sun have opened the first Linux training centers at the headquarters of a Belleville, Ontario firm: beONix Technology. Now there's a worthwhile summer activity for the kids :)"
I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

Reason: Don't use so many caps. It's like YELLING.
AND IT IS ALWAYS PACIFIC TIME IN CALIFORNIA, WEST COAST.
posting first has its ups and downs, sometimes you look like a complete jackass sitting at a public computer with your hands smushed together on a non-separated keyboard so your thumbs constantly hit one another, but other times you get the glory of the first post, without having to use a script to automatically refresh slashdot and whenever a new post is sensed, click reply, and wait 20 seconds, post words, it is not the american way.
Why do you say that? Give us some examples please.
What they did with StarOffice left a bad taste in my mouth. First they acted as heros buying the software and then offering it for free for Linux users - then when people started to like StarOffice, they took it away (the free version) and started selling it for a high price.
Typical fucking Linux hippie, always looking for something for nothing. FUCK Sun for being capitalists, right? They should be giving their profits to the poor! Go get a job and make some money and BUY your software, quit looking for welfare software all the time. And take a bath, I can smell you from here you tree-hugging dog-kissing Iraq-supporting cunt.
It is official; Netcraft confirms: Sun is dying One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered Sun community when IDC confirmed that Sun market share has dropped yet again, now down to less than a fraction of 1 percent of all servers. Coming on the heels of a recent Netcraft survey, which plainly states that Sun has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. Sun is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in the recent Sys Admin comprehensive networking test. You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict Sun's future. The handwriting is on the wall: Sun faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for Sun because Sun is dying. Things are looking very bad for Sun. As many of us are already aware, Sun continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood. Sun is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core developers. The sudden and unpleasant departure of Bill Joy and Scott McNealy only serves to underscore the point more clearly. There can no longer be any doubt: Sun is dying. All major surveys show that Sun has steadily declined in market share. Sun is very sick and its long-term survival prospects are very dim. If Sun is to survive at all it will be among OS dilettante dabblers. Sun continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, Sun is dead. Fact: Sun is dying
Is the only difference between bewtween these two dogs that sun does tricks. Like say... oo...I dont know, THIS ONE!!!!!
With one hand the clown dazzled us with magic and with the other he was touchin your kids.
