AOL's Mystro TV vs Tivo?
admiral2001 writes "Here is is a NYTimes story about AOL-Time-Warner's plans for a TiVo-killing 'Mystro TV' (nytimes annoying free registration required). They plan to begin rolling this out sometime in the next two years. Their major features are the simple pause, rewind, and fast forward that all PVRs have. However, they've taken the obvious stance to "let[s] networks set the parameters, dictating which shows users can reschedule, and it also creates ways for networks to insert commercials." The article even mentions how they could get an advantage in pushing their product because "viewers could try out Mystro TV by pushing a button on their remote"."

Slashdot 's editors are dickheads
Filthy yellowish-black rotting teeth with breath that smells like dog shit. Even wealthy parasites like the royal family have awful decaying shit-stained teeth. Why is that??
Is this Steve's parting shot on the clueless Time-Warner Board for giving him the boot?
I just heard some sad news on talk radio, wealthy parasite/hard core rapper the Queen Mum 109 was found dead at Buckingham Palace. The cause of death was electrocution in a bathtub from a plugged in Sex Toy. Even if you did not like the ugly old bitch, their is no denying her contribution to hardcore gangsta rap cuture. Truely an English icon.
Why do you allow posts of news stories to websites that require registration? Surely there is no shortage of news sources on the web. I bet that any /. reader could find any story in at least triplicate if asked. As proprietors of this site surely you get several sources for each story. So why must you post news that I have to donate time and personal information to access when you could link to any of a multitude of other sources that would not require such intrusive regulation?
