Texas Rep Wants To Jail File Traders

He says, "What these kids don't realize is that every time they pull up music and movies and make a copy, they are committing a felony under the United States code," Carter said in an interview. "If you were to prosecute someone and give them three years, I think this would act as a deterrent." Right..."

What is really worrying is that convicted criminals are in Bush's administration. After being convicted of lying to Congress about Nicaragua/Contras, they are back in power. Poindexter, Negroponte, Abrams, Reich, Elliott... Why are convicted criminals who lied to their own country - betrayed their country - back in powerful positions?

X Sucks period. Any fork or divergence from the current project cant possibly lead to something worse than X. Lets face it driver support is terrible it eats up to much ram (more than the window gui) and refresh rates suck for everything nor just netscape. Im running mandrake 9.1rc1 on my laptop with Xfree4.3 current on it and its no better than the stable release of 4.2.XX in term of suppporting my video card (radeon 7500 mobile) or in terms of increaded performance. So whatever they have been doing simply isnt working.
