FreeBSD From Scratch
geekmedia writes "Daemon News has an excellent article which describes a fully automated installation of a customized FreeBSD system compiled from source, including compilation of all your favorite ports and configured to match your idea of the perfect system. If you think make world is a wonderful concept, FreeBSD From Scratch extends it to make universe."
the gentoo of bsd! yea!!!
I know I'm biting on a well known troll; but here goes! Does anyone REALLY think that Theo gives a shit about the opinion of some kids on a half assed linux site? I don't think so.
Furthermore, the only people who thinks he's an ASSHOLE (sic) have never met the man. I've gone riding with him and he's a hell of a man. Full of jokes and laughs galore. He's also a hell of a good listener too!
That is all. I leave you to your trolling.

Your Kreskin link is dead. Now, this probably doesn't matter to some readers, but there are those of us who can tell an authentic 'BSD is Dead' post by wether the Kreskin link is an href or just plain text, indicating the post is a cheap cut-and-paste job.
A suggested new link for Kreskin is here.
Thank you.
If you want to patch your system up quickly, simply get the updated sendmail program in binary form from:
ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/CERT/patches/SA
For my system (FreeBSD 4.7) I grabbed:
sendmail-4.7-i386-crypto.bin.gz
And installed it with these commands:
gunzip sendmail-4.7-i386-crypto.bin.gz
install -s -o root -g smmsp -m 2555 sendmail-4.7-i386-crypto.bin
