Apple Plans to Purchase Universal Music

mrbiiggy writes "Apparently Apple has been plotting to purchase Universal Music for $6 billion, reports Spiegel Online (read the Google translation). Who knew Apple even had that kind of cash? (The L.A. Times is also reporting this, free reg required.)"

Actually, Jesus stole his ideas from Buddha. And when Buddha went to sue, it came to light from Jesus that Buddha stole his ideas too ... from Xenax. Xenax was this little known green dude that forsook the Enlightened Path (and all the royalty rich books that come with it) cause he thought he could make more money in the stick whittling business.

Apple has nothing to lose by including Linux and if it gets there, OpenBeOS in that. MacOS X is already arguably light years behind Linux as a desktop OS and OpenBeOS will take a good 2-3 years to get where OS X is today. Apple has about as much reason to worry about being overrun by Linux and OpenBeOS (and other OSS platforms) on the desktop as the US military has to worry about the Kurds and Turks.

That said, I think that if Apple really wanted to drop an A bomb on Microsoft, they could spend a cool $25M to buy BeOS, integrate any cool parts they can use and dump the rest into the hands of the OSS world. What makes a Macintosh great is that it is a true all-in-one experience. The software "just works" with the hardware and that will always appeal to a lot of users. PCs are utilitarian and no pretty. Hell if I had the money I'd buy a PowerMac based on the PPC 970 rather than buy a very nice used car.

Strangely, that CNN-approved translation differs from how the rest of the world translates it.

A better translation is "No Saddam, No US Puppet Government, now we can become a true muslim nation"

Apparently, Saddam was the head of something called the Ba'ath party which was a socialist type thing which didn't give any funding to Muslim churches and greatly restricted the people's freedom to practice their religion. Saddam has recently loosened up, however, in an attempt to keep his popularity, so he's made public displays of himself celebrating holy days as a devout muslim, which fools nobody but the Americans.

But there WILL be a US puppet government, no matter what Bush promised them on "FreedomRadio" when the US took over Iraqi airwaves. Poor saps.

Anyone hear any more about the recent US-led massacre of Talibanis in Afghanistan? Nope. Didn't think so. That puppet government's REALLY doing well for itself - the opium trade is back in full swing, this time under the watchful eye of the CIA.

    Wake up

    Dear Father O'Day:
Thanks for your letter. Being Catholic myself, I know exactly what you're talking about! It has always been our plan here at Apple Computer Inc to revolutionize personal computing with our high-quality and highly gay products.
I'm happy to answer your letter by letting you know that YES we will be releasing an entire hLife ("homo-life") software line. You'll be able to recognize it in stores by the small stylized logo depicting a large cock entering a tight anus with an Apple logo on it. ("Suddenly it all comes together" indeed!).
Anyway, I hope you and other members of our community will join us on our mission, and purchase the exciting new hLife boxed set. Only the boxed set comes with translucent cock rings!

    Sincerely,
