Webby Awards Downsized To Virtual Event
minesweeper writes "In another sign of the times, this article in the SF Chronicle says that the seventh annual Webby Awards, typically a flamboyant affair held in San Francisco, has been reduced to a virtual event this year. Many of the nominees couldn't make it to the event scheduled for June 5 due to the downturn in the economy and fears of traveling."
look at the current poll (MPAA /RIAA verdict) and tell me if you see his name there
The war with islam is a war on the beast
The war on terror is a war for peace
I am retired, and do not fear job loss, or loss of pension. SARS incidence is so low as to be random noise. War was not a reason to fear flying even during the campaign. The US Government operated and airline approved Passenger Harassment System at airports means the airlines and airports can crumble into dust before your eyes. If it cannot be reached by surface transport, it will not be considered for a visit.
I nominate my web-site for a WEBBY, because I bet no one's ever done what I'm doing: writing an entire seventy-four episode television series, and posting the scripts to the internet, without knowing if the scripts will ever get produced or not. People have posted pilot scripts for original TV series' to the internet before, but has any ONE PERSON ever written an entire seventy-four episode TV series, and posted all the scripts to the internet without knowing if they'll ever be produced? I'm posting them on a schedule, so there's currently only thirteen episodic scripts on my site, but there will be seventy four when I've finished the project. If I don't win a webby, I should at least get mentioned in the guiness book under the category BIGGEST SHOJO GEEK.
