Petition For Daikatana Sequel Started

Thanks to Blues News for pointing to this online petition demanding a sequel to Daikatana. Reasons for wanting a follow-up to John Romero's infamous PC FPS include the fact that "Daikatana's former notoriety has left many people with a feeling of nostalgia for the days leading to the game's completion." Some of comments attached to the 37 current signatures also add insight, including Attila Houtkooper's comment - "Daikatana has changed my life, I need Daikatana 2 to change it back the way it was!"

So where's the on-line petition to prevent there from being a Daikatana 2? :)

    Which is more likely?

    a) Sequel to Daikatana

    b) Duke Nukem Forver

I highly doubt either will happen in my lifetime. Although, I am pretty out-of-shape, and I smoke... ;)

Daikatana has changed my life, I need Daikatana 2 to change it back the way it was!

Is he openly asking for disappointing sequal so he can lose hope in video games and go back to a normal productive life?

If you disagree then it must be overrated, redundant or trolling.

I would understand if this was a petition to have John Romero dipped in alcohol and dragged naked over broken glass until he agreed to personally apologize to everyone who purchased this game and send a sympathy card to people who played the demo. But a petition to do a sequel? Are these people masochists?

There are plenty of other things these guys can do with their time:
    • Buy some other $5 game in EB's bargain bin.
    • Play Daikatana to remember what it was really like.
    • Join an order of self-flagellating monks.

At some point in time, there was an ad saying 'John Romero wants to make you his bitch!' Personally, I thought Stevie Case had already applied for that position.

It was just part of the massive amounts of trash talking that was slung in the overlong run up to the game. He was so full of himself, and then managed to sell a pile of dung only slightly less bad than Black and White.
