This suit was completely unfounded. While it is encouraging to witness it getting shot down so quickly, it is still sad to know that so many retarded patent related lawsuits are getting passed and used in IT in malicious ways today. Copyright reform is needed, because it is stifiling more then just business now-a-days (as is evident by examining the recent actions of SCO).

Imagine if they had won? They would have gotten revenue from a truly innovative and clever company just because they patented (regardless of prior art) and sued at the right time. Who knows how far that could have set Google back. Even if it didn't set Google back, it would still serve as a confirming set of evidence for companies looking to follow suit.

    PS: fist post fools.

You are a complete idiot and probably are working for either SCO or Microsoft

Not only is your post offtopic, but is filled with lies and deception. Linux refers only to the kernel of the operating system, and nothing other than that, therefore making your contention about the fonts rather invalid, as that is used for X, and not Linux.

What exactly has Linux stolen from anyone? If you have an IQ of more than 40, then you would easily figure out that SCO's claims are filled with shit, and if they do win, however unlikely that is, then this would prove that the United States is truly messed up. If anything, other companies have stolen from Linux. BSD and Linux have long been highly stable, reliable server operating systems, while Microsoft and their Windows shit can't even do that right, while they're constantly trying to "improve" their OS with shit like DRM and "empower" that 0.001% of the populace even cares to know what the hell it is.

Playstation 2 Linux is not illegal. it was DISTRIBUTED BY SONY THEMSELVES FOR THEIR OWN FUCKING GAME CONSOLE. What do you mean, "None of this is going to hold up in a court of law" when Sony themselves have distributed it. And what's wrong with installing it on an Xbox? Can't we do whatever the hell we want with hardware that WE own?

If you're gonna cite SCO, you might as well lick the third rail of a subway because their arguments are false. For example, their "scalability" argument about how Linux allegedly copied THEIR OS is completely false. Linux now supports over 64 processor SMP, while their third-rate Unixware operating system only supports only 8.

If you don't like free software, fine. But don't go around telling lies about it. Calling those open source developers that have worked hard "thieves" is simply wrong, and it would take a person of very poor quality in order to say such a thing.

ha, that is funny. i know that is a joke, but pigeons were trained during world war II to carry bombs onto enemy ships at sea. the idea was never carried out in actual combat, but it is interesting to read about. i watched a video in my high school psych class once. the pigeons would learn to play a series of notes on a miniature piano or point their beaks in a certain direction in order to receive food.
