Trepia: A Buddy List Of Strangers
An anonymous reader writes "Trepia has released an IM client that automatically populates itself with people who happen to be around you. Something that has been done before by Apple with iChat, but Trepia claims to be 'iChat on crack' in this article featuring the software. This could have potentially revolutionary social effects..."
the very first one!! haha..
At first, I was trepidacious (trepi... get it? ha ha!) about using the technology, but my fears were put to rest by Trepia's extended warranty covering physical damages that occur as a direct result of use of the Trepia people-finding system.
This must be a huge improvement for pimps. Just buy your hoes a device and put in all her specialities. Much easier to find customers.
I can see it before me, geeky men in dimly lit appartments trying to disturb the other cyber pimp's hoes connections.
Heck, you could even make a movie out of this;)
About the Linux client... there's this thing called 'market share' that might just get in the way of that. Sorry.
Why don't we just cut to the chase and make OSS an official religion. Fuck why does every goddamn slashdot article elicit off-topic moronic obligatory sniveling "bla bla open source bla" responses? AHHHHHH!!!!!
