USB 1.1 Renumbered To USB 2?

Teese writes "According to this Bangkok Post article, in December the USB Forum renamed USB 1.1 to USB 2, and USB 2 stayed as USB 2. They did this because consumers were demanding that the computers they buy have USB2 on board. The story also claims that both Sony & toshiba have released laptops with the USB2 that is really USB1.1. This was the first I had heard of this and the article said the change took place in December, has the USB Forum really been able to pull a fast one on us?"

SCO sucks too. Surely they're involved with this whole USB thing.
Yup. It's SCO and Microsoft. Typing an E-Mail with Outlook Express on a machine running Windows Me. Sent with exchange server. Netware was somehow involved.

MODERATORS... you guys need to pay attention and not just mod up any post that is really long. The trolls have taken to reposting portions of the article, and then putting lines at the end like they did here. Look at the last line of the parent post:

Lust. It is a lovely thing when you get it in the ass.

Now tell me how this is "Informative". Please mod the parent down.

The last I was at a Starbucks, say 4 years ago, I asked for a "large" mocha, withough actually looking at the menu:

    Barista: "Venti?"

    Me: "What?"

    B: "You want a venti?"

    Me: "I want a large."

    B: "You want a venti."

Me: "Um, ok, if that's a large."

That's part of the reason I don't go to big chain coffee places any more. Their idiosyncrasies are usually stupid (every beverage size means "big") and their employees are brainwashed enough that they think that's how the rest of the world should work.

you can always tell when people who make drug references don't actually take drugs. if the guys handling the marketing for USB actually took speed, they'd be atypical. Most of these marketing hacks get pumped up on cocaine or smoke a few bowls of marijuana before settling down for a big day of product branding.
