Building A (Serious) Home Network From Scratch

Casey Lang-Vie writes "THG are running an article that outlines how to build a home network from scratch. I wish I'd read this before I attempted - now I have a few (ok, 8) unsightly holes in my wall." This is the type of network that encourages home ownership rather than rental.

    I just heard some sad news on talk radio - ass strectching exhibitionist Goatse Receiver was found dead in CmdrTaco's bed this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to making the intarweb a great place for millions of users. Truly an American icon.

    Skynet is a distributed software client running on every computer on the planet. So when John Connor gets sent to Crystal Point to destroy Skynet and prevent the nuclear launch, the real reason he's sent there is to protect him when the attack happens, since it can't be prevented at that point. He can't do anything except watch, and then start the resistance.
