Qt On DirectFB

Ashcrow writes "The feasibility for DirectFB to replace XFree86 just a little stronger thanks Maurizio Monge very first alpha release of Trolltech's Qt library for use in DirectFB. You can check out some screenshots or go straight to the source. And yes, it has been released as Free Software."

    What's up with all the "Hot Babe" backgrounds? Makes all Open Source developers look like horny teenagers. Do you want a horny teenager writing your production Apache server??

      I don't know about your PHB, but my PHB is hornier than a three-peckered billy goat. It's the nature of the leadership type to be keen on sexual conquest. If your PHB isn't an open pervert, I'd start looking for a new job: your company or division is doomed.

    Since I'm sure we're all busy folks, let me save everyone some time by summarizing what this whole discussion is going to boil down to:

    • Performance is god.
    • No it isn't.
    • Yes, it is.
    • Is not.
    • Is too.
    • Is not, take a comp. sci. class -- abstraction is a good thing.
    • Don't you realize this means higher framerates on 3|_33T Derivative FPS 2004 Pro? That's my favorite game, it just came out and it's so awesome. Besides, if we have the fastest games, that'll show that Linux performance is awesome and thus that Linux is truly enterprise-ready.
    • Oh yeah?!? Well, I'm an old-time Unix guy, and I say, "Give me vi, X11, and ksh, or give me death!"
