Mega Monday Updates
r0d3nt writes "Microsoft has released their promised 10.1.4 update to office. With it comes support for Exchange via Entourage. Get the update , and read about the system requirements."
RottenApple writes "The latest iPod EU firmware update has been seen floating on the Gnutella and BitTorrent Networks. A working hack is indicated by the Time Zone appearing as US Pacific after running the updater."
An anonymous reader writes "TheLittleAppFactory is pleased to today announce the latest version of our iPod Manager for Mac OS X, iPodRip 1.5, which boasts many new features, such as the ability to play songs right from your iPod's hard drive and playlist support, as well as a slick new interface, faster importing and improved iTunes integration." It costs $7.
I was pretty excited about this update, until I downloaded it, and couldn't connect to my Exchange Server, because there is no way our admins are turning any of that crap on. They gave me the slap down about OWA ages ago. IMAP? Forget it. I think they might have LDAP going, but hell if I can get it to work with Entourage. What's the point of an Exchange update, if it doesn't work with Exchange's protocol of choice MAPI? I think I'll stick to the OSX Mail client/Address book. It's less of a hassle and it syncs with my phone. It'd be nice to sync my work calendar on my palm pilot without conversion gyrations, but its just not working out.
