Linux Gaining Ground In India
GillBates0 writes "Yahoo/Reuters is reporting that Linux seems to be gaining over Microsoft in India. According to Red Hat, about 10 percent of India's personal computers will be sold with Linux rather than Microsoft operating systems by March, 2004, up from nothing in January. Linux already drives India's National Stock Exchange, and the Government of India has been promoting open source lately."
No shit Sherlock. Next they'll blurt out, front page: "Microsoft still making lots of money. IBM angry, wants to make that much money as well. As you know, Microsoft Windows drives the systems of governments and businesses of almost every nation on the planet Earth."

No, they would be happy to sit around and wait for someone else to write all the code for a project, only to take over the job towards the very end once it's been taught to them by the person who completed 99% of the project. It's bad enough that (according to the article) 60% of all offshore software development is done in India. Now those guys are using free software to undercut American programmers even more!
