Sega's Classic Remakes Expanded, Shown
Thanks to The Magic Box for their new information on Sega's AGES 2500 Series remakes for PlayStation 2. We've covered the initial set of remakes, currently announced for Japanese release only, and including Phantasy Star, Fantasy Zone, Monaco GP, Space Harrier, and Golden Axe, but there's now a streaming trailer of the first titles (in 56k and broadband flavors), and details on the next games in the series: "Vol.6:Virtua Racing - remake of Model 1 3D racing game, Vol.7:Last Bronx - remake of the Model 2 arcade fighting game, Vol.8:Phantasy Star 2 - remake of Mega Drive RPG, Vol.9:Phantasy Star 4: The End of Millennium - remake of Mega Drive RPG."

The Sonic Mega Collection (basically every Sonic game prior to Sonic Adventure) was released for the GameCube, and was never announced as an exclusive title, but I can't find any announcements that state it will be coming soon for XBox or PS2.
I would like to see older Nintendo titles, too, but for now I'm going with the GBA versions of the ones that are available and using the GB Player when I play at home. Of course, with a new console slated for some point in the next year and a half, I doubt they'll go too far into re-releases on the current console unless they plan to have backwards compatibility (and I must say the Ocarina of Time re-release was a pretty good idea, though I wish it had a more general release for those of us that didn't even have a Gamecube when Zelda came out (of course, I picked the remake up used anyway)).

To some extent, they have some on the GBA, with the ecard reader.. it hasn't got very popular in the States though.. (at least with peers my age, so maybe it's different for kids)
They had some old NES games, like Tennis, Donkey Kong, Balloon Fight, Joust.. (which were arcade games anyhow)
And they're pretty cheap, at ~ 5$ a pack of cards, which is a game..
I'm not the devil.. just his advocate.
They put out a Genesis/Mega Drive 'Greatest Hits' collection on the Dreamcast. 10 games including Sonic, Streets of Rage, and one of the Phantasy Stars or Shinin in the Darkness games, plus a slew of other games.
