The examples they give are: videophones; moon colonies; food in pills; cars that drive themselves; jet packs; and moving sidewalks.

I agree. Slashdot is sooo lazy these days (stealing from print magazines like Time). But you know what Screensavers is even lazier when they get their info from Slashdot.
Tip: fire those lazies who can't put up an interesting unique thread. If they can't do the job right, fire their lazy arses.
