Lord British Returns To Ultima Online

Thanks to Origin for their news release announcing Lord British is returning to the world of PC MMORPG Ultima Online. The article trails: "Talk circulates throughout the land of the return of a figure from Britannia's past, whose whereabouts have been shrouded in mystery for these many moons", and GameShark has contacted NCSoft Austin, where Ultima creator Richard 'Lord British' Garriott now works (and where he has even introduced Lord British's character into Lineage), and reports that "Richard Garriott... gave [Origin/EA] permission to reintroduce the character into the world of Ultima. Origin apparently made a deal with Richard that allowed them to use the character if they had Richard's blessings."

    ... is a fucking freak. Seriously, have you ever seen the guy? He wears crowns and robes and shit when he goes to K-Mart. He made one half decent game about 20 years ago, and let's every else do the work on the 20 other Ultima games while he slaps his name on it. I'm not too sure if there's a typical pedophile composite, but if there was I bet it'd look like Richard Garriot. He's more of a freak than Will Wright, who think work = fun. It's like all those dipshits at the renaissance fair, but one of them got lucky and has money. We should off him and clean up the gene pool. Face it, the best Ultima game was Underworld and Garriot didn't have a damn thing to do with it.

    First of all, this is very old news (what is it 6 or 7 years old now?) and not really related this new development.

    Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, 2 out of the 3 links on the page that you linked to do not work.
