Home-brewing a 1.2TB IDE to Firewire Monster

Delta-9 writes "Here is a writeup on how to combine 6 200GB IDE drives into a small tower and hack together some firewire controllers to give you one giant 1.2TB firewire drive." Very cool project, both technically and aesthetically.

I have made a new page that combines goatse, tubgirl, penisbird, and pillowfight.jpg all into one page.

I've only tested it on MSIE. It requires javascript as well.

Block YRO in your preferences. I did that after I got tired of the umpteenth teenage libertarian "corporations trample on our rights boo hoo wank wank" article that timothy crapped out.

Hey I admit to being really hardware ignorant, but could someone who knows a bit clear up whether www.go-l.com is a troll website? it sounds too good to be true.

If it's not, the drives they talk about in their top 3.8GHz machine seem pretty stunning. As they say on the site:

    PuRam(TM) Drives Technology work in conjunction with CacheFlow(TM) Technology. Stand-alone performance limited to 400MB/sec Burst/ 320MB/sec Sustained R/W and 50,000 IO/sec
