Commodore 64 Emulator For Your Palm Pilot

Ridgelift writes "PDALive's got an article on a port of Frodo, the free Commodore 64 Emulator for your Palm Pilot. I can't wait to get this running so I can play M.U.L.E. on the road!" Update: 12/01 02:41 GMT by T : An anonymous reader writes "I thought I should point out that there's also a really great Atari ST emulator for Palm called 'CaSTaway.' You can find it here. It's free and released under GPL :)"

Had enough with Slashdot's unethical support for advertisers ?

If so, we invite you to join the jihad against Slashdot at www.anti-slash.org [anti-slash.org]. We demand a full acknowledgment and apology from the editorial staff for their crimes against the community. Until then, we will take whatever action is necessary to discredit Slashdot as a reputable geek news site.

Nobody really cares about your "jihad" and you just don't seem to get it. All it is, is a bunch of immature trolls with nothing better to do than try to bring chaos to order on Slashdot. When someone clicks on a link that's been modded up and sees the big red eye, they don't think about the "jihad" and the so-called abuses by the editors. All they think is it's gross and click the back button as quickly as possible, or close the window.

If you were really out to make Slashdot a better place, there's ways you could do it. The ordinary readers of Slashdot noticed when The Post(TM) by negativekarmanow tm got modded up and was subsequently modded down hundreds of times, along with other posts in the thread, by the editors. If you really had the best interests of Slashdot at heart, you'd try to emulate what happened then, and make similar posts detailing the so-called abuses, instead of disguising links to goatse.cx.

Second, you'd make an issue of these so-called abuses on other websites. Slashdot's editors really looked bad when Kuro5hin posted a story about that post. Negative attention such as that can bring about changes.

And finally, if there's one thing Rob Malda will pay attention to for sure, it's his inbox. Organize a campaign to e-mail him and the other editors with your concerns. If he gets enough e-mails (and not through scripted attacks) he will take notice and is much more likely to implement your changes.

As it is, your "jihad" is only an excuse to lower the signal to noise ratio for the amusement of certain immature people such as yourself. Don't you kids have something better to do with your time than ruin Slashdot for the rest of us?

And if you're reading this post and support the things I've said, or even just oppose the Jihad, make a visit over to anti-slash.org, sign up for an account, and repost this comment or whatever your thoughts might be about them. If enough of us stand up for Slashdot, maybe even the most immature of trolls will take notice and grow up.

I think the Palm games probably just seem to "suck" more to people nowdays because they're only experienced on that small screen, with limited user input devices.

At least the C64 had the advantage of displaying to a normal sized TV screen (or monitor, if you were lucky).

I've actually run quite a few Palm games that I thought were impressively well done, yet I don't ever play them more than a few times. The user experience just isn't that great on a little PDA.
