Geez, how hypocritical of them for wanting some "hands-on government" when a publically-funded university uses taxpayer money to fund what amounts to a press conference for only 2 of the 3 political parties on the ballot. Yes, how silly of them.

  3. Better Solution on Spamholes Fighting Spammers · · Score: -1

It's time for us to take this war to the spammers. Ultimately, spam is not the problem. There are valid reasons to send a bulk e-mail -- within an institution, etc. The spammers are the problem. We need to make their lives living hell. It would be nice if somebody started to physically sever their internet connections, cut their telephone lines, steal their mailboxes, etc. (Note: not "suggesting" the above, for legal purposes).

Congratulations, you are ignorant. Use TWO 32-bit ints. Four extra bytes aren't about to bring the EQ servers to a screeching halt.

  16. Not a fair comparison! on Media Monopoly: Thomas Edison to Hillary Rosen · · Score: 5, Insightful

Rosen is a lot like Thomas Edison... except for the whole part about Edison being a brilliant inventor who applied for intellectual property protection ON HIS OWN WORK. On the contrary, it is quite clear that Rosen is actively working to prevent the development and introduction of innovative new technologies. Bottom line: regardless of his flaws, DO NOT compare Hilary Rosen with Thomas Edison.
