Andreessen Interview Discusses Post-Crash Innovation

He is just pissed that he hasn't been able to take credit for the work of others like he did on the Mozilla project.

Form your own opinion, but he seems to have interviewed the people, spell checking is entirely unrelated issue to fact checking. You may think it cute to equate the two, I don't see the point.
Anita Drobny, a wealthy contributor to various Democrat campaigns and causes, is the brains behind the new venture, and she and her husband Sheldon have formed a group called AnShell Media L.L.C, which has invested $10 million in start-up money in the network already. Another newly formed company known as Progress Media is also involved in the undertaking, with Atlanta radio consultant, Jon Sinton, as it's president and Mark Walsh, formerly with America Online, as it's chief executive. These people have decided to promote Central Air as a "progressive" network, once again relying heavily on misdirection, deceptive rhetoric and the gullibility, if not sheer ignorance, of their potential listeners for ratings, instead of simply being honest and letting the chips fall where they may.
All I can say is that at least this liberal propaganda tool won't be subsidized by the American taxpayer (unlike NPR) and judging by the success of past leftist talkshow hosts when forced to compete on a level playing field with conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage, this media venture has got the life expectancy of frost on a sunny April morning. I suppose only time will tell, but don't be surprised if by this time next year Jeanine Garofalo is resigned to pushing weight loss products on an infomercial at three in the morning and Al Franken is back to writing inexplicably popular, yet nonetheless inane books with titles like "Rush Limbaugh is a loud-mouthed crack fiend".

Poor spelling on a document does not mean they are sloppy on the facts. *YOU* are sloppy, where's your evidence to support that satement? You don't have any, you just bade it up. It's pure conjecture with nothing to back it up.

I'm not sure how you can say that, given that the average American now make something like 20k per year (I'm too lazy to look it up)?
If you look at the history of the industrial revolution here and in the UK (among every other developed nation), they all go through periods of worker exploitation and environmental degradation, followed by spectacular recoveries of each.
So why not help developing nations make gobs of money so that it WILL filter down to the workers, and move them up to first-world status much faster?
Why do the workers in said countries flock to "sweatshops" like Nike? (Nike already pays much more than average for the area)
There is a definite progression that has to happen in these nations. They cannot, and will never be able to, jump from hunter/gatherer to diamond age in a single generation (hyperbole, of course). So why not encourage them to compete where they are able on the global stage instead of blocking their products and leaving the in the dustbin of history?
Is "the environment" in the U.S. better now than it was during the 1800's? Sure is, and the reason is that we were able to climb up from it. Everyone else has to follow the same path. Maybe there is another path, but noone's found it (or followed it successfully) yet...

Joseph Goebbels und seine Propaganda
Die Zeit mit Gregor Strasser
Goebbels, der in Rheinland-Westfalen als Agitator tatig war, wurde Privatsekretar von Gregor Strasser. Mit den Brudern Strasser gab er ab dem 1. Oktober 1925 die "Nationalsozialistischen Briefe" heraus.
Kritiker aus dem rechten Lager kritisierten die Sprache Goebbels' als kommunistisch. Goebbels und die Bruder Strasser waren in der Partei Vertreter des "linken" Flugels. Fur sie lag das Interesse mehr beim Sozialismus als beim Nationalismus.
Es schien Goebbels zu dieser Zeit auch nicht abwegig, dass Deutschland ein Bundnis mit der Sowjetunion eingehen sollte. So feierte er in seinen Beitragen Lenin als den "nationalen Befreier" Russlands. Auch sollte Deutschland nicht fur den Kapitalismus kampfen. Trotz dieser Ansichten verstand sich Goebbels nicht als Kommunist.
Zu dieser Zeit ging Goebbels auch auf Distanz zu Hitler, obwohl er den Parteifuhrer bisher sehr verehrt hatte. Goebbels wollte nicht akzeptieren, dass Hitler Gelder von Industriellen dankbar entgegennahm. Goebbels wollte den Flugel um die Strasser-Bruder starken, die Machtzentrale der Partei sollte von Munchen nach Norddeutschland verlegt werden. Hitler sollte nur noch Ehrenvorsitzender der Partei sein und Gregor Strasser Parteifuhrer.
Hitler kannte und schatzte Goebbels als geschickten Propagandisten und wollte ihn von der Strasser-Fraktion abwerben, was ihm auch gelang. Hitler zeigte Goebbels die Abschnitte aus "Mein Kampf", die sich mit Propaganda und Organisation beschaftigten. Goebbels war von diesen Thesen begeistert. Seine alte Verehrung Hitlers erstarkte wieder, und er wurde zum treuen Gefolgsmann.
Erste Auftritte in Berlin
Goebbels wurde zwar nun nicht gleich zum Leiter der Propaganda der NSDAP ernannt, aber er erhielt den Posten des Gauleiters von Berlin. Propagandachef wurde zunachst Gregor Strasser.
Berlin war zu dieser Zeit eine Stadt, in der Kommunisten und Sozialdemokraten die Mehrheit hatten. Die Berliner NSDAP war desorganisiert und ihre Anhanger zerstritten, und der Einfluss in der Stadt war gering. Goebbels warf zahlreiche Mitglieder aus der Partei, mit dem Ziel, neue Mitglieder zu werben, die der Partei nutzten.
Bereits seine erste Aktion in Berlin zeigte die Methoden von Joseph Goebbels. Im Berliner Arbeiterbezirk Wedding mietete er einen Saal, der sonst von den Kommunisten genutzt wurde. Die Werbeplakate fur die Veranstaltung ahmten die kommunistischen Vorbilder nach. Alle Berliner Mitglieder der NSDAP mussten am 11. Februar 1927 an einem Demonstrationszug durch den Wedding teilnehmen. Damit provozierte er die Berliner Kommunisten, die in ihren Zeitungen "blutige Drohungen" gegen die Veranstaltung der Nationalsozialisten ausstieBen.
Am 11. Februar kam es dann zur von den Nationalsozialisten erwarteten Saalschlacht. SA-Leute stromten in den Saal und prugelten auf ihre Gegner ein. Goebbels bewahrte dabei auf dem Podium die Ruhe und gewann damit unter den SA-Leuten Anerkennung. Nach der Prugelei lieB er die Tragen mit den verletzten SA-Leuten auf die Buhne bringen. Vor dem Publikum druckte er den Verletzten die Hand. In seiner anschlieBenden Rede stachelte er die Zuschauer auf. In kurzen, stakkatohaften Satzen wurdigte er die SA-Manner und weckte die Emporung der Zuhorer.
Goebbels, im Rheinland bereits erfolgreich, spielte hier sein ganzes rhetorisches Talent aus. Er hatte mit seinem Auftritt Erfolg. Am nachsten Tag berichteten die Zeitungen uber die Saalschlacht. Das Parteiburo wurde mit uber 2600 Mitglieder-Neueintritten uberschwemmt. 500 Manner wollten in die SA eintreten.
Bei einer weiteren Veranstaltung wurde am 4. Mai 1927 ein Pfarrer von SA-Leuten krankenhausreif geschlagen. Der Polizeiprasident von Berlin verbot daraufhin die NSDAP in Berlin. Goebbels war wieder auf den Titelseiten. Er verstand es in den weiteren Wochen, die Partei als Opfer darzustellen.
