The essence of the Bible, according to Christians is: "Love Jesus, or
you will be tortured and killed." If you doubt that, just read the final
book of the Bible, "Revelations". The non-Christians are in for a very
    unpleasant experience.
This theme actually abounds in the Bible. God is jealous (according to
the Old Testament's first commandment); he is vengeful and vindictive
("Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord", saith the New
Testament). And Revelations shows that God apparently delights in the
    torment of others.
From this evidence, it is clear that Christians do not worship God, but
some sort of demon. Who can deny it?
And threatening someone with eternal torment if they don't love you or
your son sounds very odd. Love cannot be forced.
Does Christianity have such a weak philosophical foundation that they
have to resort to threat of violence to win converts? Christian revivals
appear to exist on emotional fervor alone. "Religion without philosophy is
    sentimentality."
For example, let us consider a comparative study on the differences
between western (Christian) and eastern (Hindu and Buddhist) thoughts on
    the problem of sin.
Christians believe that only they have a solution for the problem of
sin. This is intriguing. Although Christians believe that the individual
soul did not exist before its conception in the womb, they still maintain
that all men are born into sin, tainted with the "original sin". Although
Jesus exhorts people to "be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is
perfect", they say that man is inherently a sinful creature, and that
Christ's death on the cross paid for all of our sins... all we have to do
is acknowledge that sacrifice. Furthermore, some Christians believe that
there is no need to stop sinning, as long as you have faith in Christ's
    sacrifice.
Hinduism maintains that sinful activities are due to ignorance. And
Hinduism does indeed have a solution to the problem of sin, which is,
through the acquisition of knowledge, understanding that the ultimate cause
of sin is desire. All sinful activity, and the resultant suffering, is due
to desire. A simple look at the world and you can see that practically
everyone is in a mad rush to exploit the Earth and other living entities
(including his fellow man) in the desire to enjoy. The very motto of
civilization is "Enjoy! Entertain yourself!". Human society runs on
desire. Even our economy depends on it.
Desire is the cause of sinful activities. And sinful activities is the
cause of suffering. Fully 100% of man's inhumanity to man is due to
desire. The desire for wealth breeds crime and mistrust. The desire for
adoration results in envy and arguments. Desire is actually a web, with
desire feeding on desire. Desirous to appear desirable to members of the
opposite sex, one desires wealth, a fancy car, a fancy wardrobe, etc... and
one makes the necessary endeavors to fulfil his desires.
The very basis of Hindu and Buddhist thought is in stressing the
importance of the necessity to control desire. The Bhagavad-gita (3.37)
calls desire the greatest enemy of the world. By even contemplating
desire, one can fall down from the spiritual platform (2.62-63), and desire
is one of the three gates leading towards a future hellish existence
(16.21). But by conquering desire, one becomes peaceful and serene.
Although Jesus clearly instructed that "ye cannot serve both God and
Mammon (cupidity personified, i.e., desire)", it is quite evident that
Christianity never addresses the issue of the role of desire at all. Why?
Because instead of understanding the necessity of purifying and
transforming one's own consciousness (as a prerequisite for salvation),
they believe that salvation is a "reward" for their faith and/or works.
Incidentally, this is a major reason for the growth of Christianity
    (especially in India).

MOHAMMED: AN EXAMPLE of MUDSLUMS MASS KILLING OF JEWS

When the prophet of Islam started preaching his new religion in Mecca, he was conciliatory to Christians and Jews. He told them, "We believe in what has been sent down to us and sent down to you, our God is the same as your God. "Surah 29:45. This attitude changed completely after he gained strength. Allah then tells him to
"Fight People of the Book (Christians and Jews), who do not accept the religion of the truth (Islam), until they pay tribute (penalty tax) by hand, being inferior." Surah 9:29.

Regarding Christians and Jews, it seems that Mohammed hated the Jews more. During his lifetime, Mohammed devoted much of his efforts to get rid of the Jews: "You (Jews) should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His apostle, and I want to expel from this land ( the Arabian Peninsula), so, if anyone owns property, he is permitted to sell it". Mohammed was quoted.

At that time there were in Medina three Jewish tribes. Two of them, the Qaynqa and the Bani-al-Nudair tribes, were besieged by Mohammed's men, blocking their access to food supplies, until they surrendered on Mohammed's terms, which were that their lives would be spared, that they must emigrate from Medina, and that they must deposit all their belongings at a certain place for distribution among Muslims.

The third tribe, Bani Quayza, was not as lucky. After the war of the trench, in which Mohammed was besieged by the Qurayshi-tes led, by Abu Sofyan, it was alleged that Bani Qurayza agreed to provide help from within to Abu Sofyan's forces. Although the alleged help did not materialize and the siege eventually ended, nevertheless, Mohammed never forgave them for their willingness to help his enemies.

Muslims turned against Bani Qurayza and blocked their streets for twenty five days.

The Jewish tribe expressed readiness to accept the surrender terms which had been conceded to the other two Jewish tribes, namely cession of their belongings and departure with safe conduct.

Mohammed, however, would not consent to this, and instead appointed as an arbiter Saad iben Moaz, a man who was known to be on bad terms with Bani Qurayza. Saad ruled that all Bani Qurayza's men should be beheaded, that the women and children should be sold as slaves, and that all their property should be divided among the Muslims.

Trenches were dug in the bazaar of Medina for disposal of the nine hundred Jewish bodies whom Mohammed had spent the night slaughtering. (See Ibn Hisham: The Prophet's Biography: vol 2 pages 40&41.)

Wow, just how poorly uneducated and evil do you have to be to believe that "God" would have talked to this intensely evil man...

      DEAR FRIENDS:

These are historical facts that happened 14 centuries ago, they represent a dangerous tendency for violence in the Islamic mentality. More serious is that Muslim fundamentalists are trying to repeat these acts of violence in this 21st century.
Guard our freedom and democracy. Let Jesus' message of tolerance and non-violence rule our land. "Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. " Matthews 26:52

No logical order for checking, purely random and impulse driven by raw Mediterranean temper, stopping for the occasional savage bite from a pork loin still affixed to the bone, Eugenia's eyes never leave the monitor.

After several hours, the words on the screen are completely shattered and in disarray, they make no sense. Eugenia is impressed with her English progress and submits her lousy retort. Relaxing only for several seconds to savor the rush, she continues her patrol, sleepless into the night.

You mean: "Who cares about this open source project I don't like. How about working on a project I do like ?"

That's the fun with hobby projects. Programmers work in their spare time on what they like and see as worth doing.

I like BeOS and I help out with an open source project for it. Would I work on another project that you think requires more support ? Only if it's fun. It's my free time and I don't get paid for it, after all.
