dudeman2 writes "Israel National News reports that The Israel Finance Ministry said Sunday it will begin distributing Open Office for free as of next week. The ministry said that it would begin to distribute thousands of Open Office CD-ROMs at public computer centers and later on at community centers throughout the country, 'in a bid to reduce the technological gap between the rich and poor in Israel'."

In fact there won't be any fucking future at all for Trollkore because that sorded, shit-filled, mutated testicle of a troll group is dying. Things are looking very bad for Trollkore. As many of us are already aware, Trollkore continues to lose first posts. Red ink splashes across the accounting documents like a series of exploding bloodfarts. These are my experiences as a consultant for the Israeli Ministry of Commerce.
Last year I received an open letter from a particular branch of the Israeli government concerning their quest for a CHEAPER and more ROBUST set of client software. I had done some work with Marco Federstein, and due to his status with the IMC, he recommended that they utilize my efforts on a part-time basis to help with their situation.
The end result, after several weeks of research, was the SUSPENSION of all governmental contracts with the Microsoft Corporation, based out of Washington, USA, and indicated that the ban will last through the entirety of 2004. When Microsoft representatives were trying to PUNISH the Israelis into Office 2003 upgrades through brute-force tactics, I was busy working with OpenOffice.org to develop a custom solution and FINAL SOLUTION for Israel.
Along with others, I was able to convince Israeli Antitrust Authority director general Dror Strum that Microsoft is, indeed and in fact, a MONOPOLY, and that further cont(r)acts should not be made. Microsoft does not care about its customers, they care about the bottom line. This is one of the MANY reasons that I use/recommend/develop Open-Source software.
We (Israel) will also not be using Apple software very much, as although Apple has provided support at the operating system KERNEL level for Arabic, Hebrew, and Urdu, they have neglected to provide support in their end-user CLIENT applications. Arutz Sheva was shut down because Israel has totalitarian policies when it comes to radio broadcasting. It does not allow news to be broadcast that differs from the radical left wing IBA's (Israel Broadcasting Authority) version. The Arutz Sheva management has spent hundreds of millions of dollars over the last several years trying to comply with the government's draconian demands (and to escape the government's jurisdiction by anchoring the station on international waters). The station has been plagued with endless, spurious, legal assaults by the government and transparently partisan efforts to shut down its political voice. Meanwhile, left wing/Palestinian stations get a free ride. Arutz Sheva speaks for the majority voice of the people of Israel, and for the government to shut it down in a society that prides itself in being a democracy is unconscionable.
