Microsoft Agrees Settlement Over MikeRoweSoft.com
GillBates0 writes "CNN's reporting that Microsoft Corp has settled with Mike Rowe, persuading the teenager to give up his domain name in exchange for costs of changing the existing domain to a new Web site, Microsoft certification training, an Xbox, an invitation to a technology festival at Redmond and some other gifts. Includes a choice quote from Microsoft spokesman Jim Desler: 'We wanted to do this in a way that's going to foster his interest in technology'. Mike had received a 25-page letter from Microsoft informing him he was committing copyright infringement, and threatening legal action, as reported earlier on Slashdot."

ok this has been building up for some time now, but I have to say something. Are all slashdotters a bunch of leftists/socialists? I am hoping that there is a "silent majority" of conservatives (or even just moderates) but some of the things I see being said on Slashdot just damn shock me. I believe in Capitalism, and I cant stand seeing people here regularly bashing capitalism in favor of socialism. Sometimes I find comments to be even more interesting than the stories here, but I think Im just going to stick to the main page for a while (this has turned into CNN, bullshit mixed in that covers over the real news). If there are more people who are concerned about these ultra-leftists around, reply or something just so I wont get too discouraged about slashdot. At least I know my generation might do a little better. Almost everyone in the dorms at GA Tech supports Bush (at least most of the people I know)
What is the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist??? And why do people on slashdot not seem to have a problem
