Cingular Wins bid for AT&T Wireless

Newer Guy writes "Cingular has won the bidding war for AT&T Wireless with an offer of $15 a share, or about $40.5 billion." This means Vodafone is out, and the number of competitors for wireless devices in the US is down by one.

    FUCK GSM! All I want is a cellPHONE. I don't need a cell-data-web-mail-espresso machine-cocksucking device, I want to MAKE FUCKING CALLS. Who needs that shit anyway? Rich suburbanite yuppie fucks who talk on the phone and drive their SUVs without paying attention? GOD FUCKING DAMMIT WHY do I need to carry a fucking PORTABLE OFFICE in my pocket when all I use my phone for is to CALL FRIENDS?!?!

    By your logic all the cell providers should merge into 1 mega company. That way we would always have service (except at my home where none of them work) and never roam. Then Vodafone could buy out the American provider so we could have the same benefits in Europe. After that, Asia........
