Last Great Internet Bubble Auction
jlouderb writes "At least that's what they are calling it. Cowan Alexander is getting ready to auction off the assets of MP3.com (now owned by CNet) on March 10th and 11th. The items up for sale include lots of those dumb Herman Miller Aeron chairs that were so popular, along with servers and notebooks that are probably hopelessly out of date. The best part, though -- a 1997 yellow hummer and a 1994 "Fat Boy" Harley. Plus, they've got pictures!"
On the lot.
OMG OMG PLEASE CHECK OUT MY UUENCODE TROLL! LOL OMFG ROFLMAO!!!!!111111oneoneone1!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reason: Don't use so many caps. It's like HOWARD DEAN SCREAMING!
(Aerons are great chairs, but they have one big weakness: the cheese grater effect. The nylon mesh backing is nice and cool in warm weather, but in the winter when it's tool that mesh shreds sweaters. I ended up putting an old t-shirt over the back of mine at work.)

I think its real. Michael, kick Billy's bum. I don't like softie or open source - people are only volunteering to work on it now b/c they hate softie...but what happens when open source wins? who will want to work on it? where will the motivation come from? where will the new ideas come from? open source is just as bad business model as most dot coms... there isn't a future 20 years down the road for radical new stuff...open source will conitunally evolve yes, but it will slow down and slow down further and further.
hey, can i pick up my mac stuff down at the sale?
Ok, why not open another mp3.com?
