Webmonkey Closes its Doors

An anonymous reader writes "According to Wired, Webmonkey is being closed by TerraLycos after 8 years of teaching practical web building skills and bucking more traditional outlets. They've written some good stuff over the years - in fact, I first understood the significance of XML after reading one of their articles."

    Amen!

Bringing this back on topic, I read the XML article. I found it to be generally lacking in content. Similarly, I found the style to me rather silly and unconvincing.

I went on to read several other articles and none of which I found to be very good. All of the information that I obtained from the website I have seen elsewhere in a much better form.

I have never heard of Webmonkey until today. From what I can tell, this doesn't seem to be much of a loss.
