Delta 2 Rocket Launches 50th GPS Satellite
wetshoe writes "This CNN article reports that 'the 50th U.S. Global Positioning Satellite has lifted off aboard a Boeing Delta 2 rocket.' It was sent into space to replace an aging GPS satellite. One more reason why geocaching is so much fun."
Summer is coming around, and when its hot outside, and your
hemmoroids are even hotter, just look to the cool
relief of Preparation-H to get you on your way.
What the fuck do you think the NRO does?
Alright, time for handholding:
"The NRO designs, builds and operates the nation's reconnaissance satellites. NRO products, provided to an expanding list of customers like the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Department of Defense (DoD), can warn of potential trouble spots around the world, help plan military operations, and monitor the environment."

Hi there!
:-)
I've never participated on Slashdot due to it's huge amount of daily posts that makes lose myself between all those posts, some of
them with really good content and should be taken on attention. Besides that, I've been watching Slashdot because it is undoubtly a
great source of fresh news.
Unfortunately, those great news are getting lost. I can't even remember the last time i've seen a news talking about something
_interesting_ and i mean interesting for nerds, stuff that matters! Besides 50th GPS sent to space, jew's cards and such, that
great content that characterized Slashdot as a great source of information is literally getting lost.
I appeal to you in order to avoid such future and take more attention on the news and comments submited and approved.
Just my personal and humble opinion, hope you take in consideration
Best Regards
How is this -1 Troll? Sometimes I think the people don't look at what they're modding... of course I have no knowledge of what is going on with orbital mechanics, I'm a fucking Networking major, what do I care, just simply stating something that could possibly be done if there ever was a problem with it. No I'm not worried about it so whatever. -1 this too if you like, I felt it was 100% underrated.
