Tanenbaum Rebuts Ken Brown
Stephan Schulz writes "Andrew Tanenbaum has rebutted Ken Brown's reply to his original comments on the (in)famous AdTI report on Linux's origin. It's quite entertaining, and leaves little doubt (well, even less than before) that Brown is conciously twisting the truth. Choice excerpt: 'I'm pretty animated all the time. But I only get tense when people try to put words in my mouth. After half an hour of repeatedly answering the question "Could Linus have written the Linux kernel by himself?" in the affirmative, I was getting a bit irritated. ... People who know me would probably confirm that I do not suffer fools gladly.' I'd add that being called 'the good Professor' repeatedly would have me exploding in no time..."
I am a hardcore liberal, however I am also an avid fan of MST3k. Imagine my shock when I found out that Mike Nelson is an avid Republican. I love the show but I hate the ideology, what should I do?

Cowboy Neal is Kim Jong Il's love child. For the love of America please, PLEASE, PLEASE boycott slashdot if you love your freedom at all. Kim Jong Il kidnapped an honest white woman and with asian communist depravity he took the delicate flower of that young woman, and then abandoned her.
In order to hide his shameful past, the Cowboy has had several operations to make him look more caucasian, but we are all well aware of his communist, god-loathing, American-hating, meglomaniac lineage.

Which works if you believe current evolutionary theory, there are at least 2 billion on this planet who would be glad to assert the chicken came first, based on Judeo-Christian (and by extension Muslim) story of creation in Genesis. My money is on the egg, but accepted genetic and atomic theory are much different now than they were just 100 years ago, perhaps Darwin was looking at the problem ass backwards too.

DNA was discovered in 1954 (IIRC). That evolution survived the discovery of DNA intact (and indeed is completely consistent with it) is a very powerful suggestion that it is the correct theory.
Go back to your cave, if you cannot appreciate reality.
