Actually a composite from many pictures from the Defense Meteorological Satellites Program (DMSP), it's like a skeletal view of the Earth in tiny lights. If you really like it, there are hi-res images up to a 40 megabyte TIFF."

    Each day a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer.
    Hmm... looks very similar to something else I've seen...

    Actually, I made a wallpaper out of this once... of just North America anyways.
